We are extremely lucky here at the Gaelscoil, any time there is something happening, we are never short of volunteers to help out. Over the last two years a family fun day has taken place on the second Sunday in June at the Glen Resource Centre. We have been extremely lucky with the weather on both occasions so the majority of activities have taken place outdoors. It is a really great day out for the children of the school and their families. Lots of families bring picnics, and the children have plenty space to play in a safe environment. Each class is assigned an activity, for example Rang 6 will get to try the Zipwire while the Naíonáns will try the Moonwalkers. Running alongside these activities are football games, bouncy castles, obstacle courses and lots of other games for all the children (and parents) to enjoy. Parents from the Coiste supervise each activity. It’s a great day to help out at as there is so much happening and great craic to be had.
