Brat Buí bronnta ar Ghaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn

Chuaigh grúpa daltaí agus múinteoirí go Baile Átha Cliath inniu ar an traen chun glacadh leis an mbrat buí thar ceann na scoile.

Bhí deis ag Sami agus Evan ón gCoiste Ilchineálacha dul chuig Teach Laighean chun freastal ar an ócáid iontach seo, maraon le múinteoirí Nóirín, Caoimhe agus Máire P. Chualamar óráidí spreagúla ón TD Jan O Sullivan agus an Comhairleoir Yemi Adenuga, a labhair mar gheall ar an tábhacht a bhaineann le glacadh leis na difríochtaí eadrainn agus meas a léiriú ar a chéile.

Ansin chuamar go dtí an óstán Clarence chun béile blasta a bheith againn i dteannta le sé scoil eile a fuair an brat buí. Bhí lá den scoth againn!

A group of teachers and students went to Dublin today to accept the Yellow Flag on behalf of Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn.  Students Evan and Sami went with Múinteoirí Nóirín, Caoimhe and Máire P to Leinster House to attend a wonderful celebration of all the hard work the school has done to celebrate diversity and promote inclusion.

We heard inspiring speeches from Councillor Yemi Adenuga and TD Jan O Sullivan, who spoke about the importance of celebrating and respecting our differences.

Evan and Sami spoke articulately too, explaining how our school makes everyone feel welcome and included, and the events we hold to learn more about other cultures.

After the event, we were treated to a delicious lunch in the Clarence Hotel, along with the six other schools that were also awarded the Yellow Flag today. We had a wonderful day!
