Bord Bainistíochta Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn.

Mar chuid d’ár mBord Bainistíochta nua tá beirt tuismitheoir uainn. Athair agus máthair.

De bharr nach bhfuil ach máthair amháin tar éis a hainm a chur ar aghaidh níl aon gá le votáil anseo.

Tá ceathrar athair tar éis suim a léiriú (mo bhuíochas leo) agus dá bhrí sin beidh vóta ann chun duine a roghnú. Is iad Ronan Leech, Niall Walsh, Tom Abernethy agus Greg Hayes na daoine atá san iomanaíocht sin.

We need two parents to act as parent representatives on our new Board of Management. One father and one mother. As we only have one mother, who has allowed her name to go forward, a vote will not be necessary for this selection.

We have four fathers that are willing to sit on our Board and we’re very thankful to them for that. The four fathers are Ronan Leech, Niall Walsh, Tom Abernethy agus Greg Hayes.

Scríobh síos ainm an duine gur mhaith leat a bheith mar ionadaí na dtuismitheoirí ar Bhord Bainistíochta Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn le do thoil.

Seol an vóta ar ais  i gclúdach litreach. Bíodh síniú aon tuismitheoir atá i gceist scríofa ar an gclúdach.

Please write the name of the parent that you want to represent you on our Board of Management below.

Please return in an envelope and any parent that votes MUST sign the envelope ie 2 votes = 2 signatures

Le gach dea ghuí.

Tom Abernethy an t-ainm atá orm agus is iarrthóir don Bhord Bainistíochta mé. Ba mhaith liom freastal ar Bhord  chun an tacaíocht is féidir liom a sholáthar do Ghaelscoil Ghoirt Alainn. Is mise féin agus mo bhean chéile tuismitheoirí le beirt pháistí a fhreastalaíonn ar an scoil. Ba mhaith liom tacaíocht a thabahairt don fhealsúnaht oideachas le chéile tríd an nGaeilge. Is dlíodóir mé.  Bhí mé gníomhach le Daltaí na Gaeilge i Meiriceá Thuaidh.  Is rannpháirtí mé sa chiorcal comhrá Gaeilge de thuismitheoirí sa scoil mar iarracht chun mo chuid Gaeilge labhartha féin a fheabhsú.

My name is Tom Abernethy and I am a candidate for the Board of Managers.  My purpose for serving on the Board would be to provide any necessary support to our school.  Myself and my wife have two children attending the school.  I would like to make sure that the Educate Together through Irish movement is given encouragement.  I am an attorney.  I have been active with Daltaí na Gaeilge in North America.  I am involved in the Irish language conversation group for parents at the school and am trying to improve my own Irish as best I can.

Greg Hayes

Greg has 2 girls in the school, rang 3 and rang 6 and has been an active member of the Coiste for the last 8 years. Greg is one of two parents representative on the current Board of Management and acting Treasurer. Greg, a Chartered Civil Engineer has had a big input into the Board’s work in bringing our new school to where it presently is. As parent’s representative on the Board Greg will continue to bring to the Board the views of the parent-body, of which there are many and would hope that the new school environment can be enhanced to provide even more educational resources for the pupils attending an future pupils alike.

Niall Breathnach
Is mise Niall Breathnach agus tá mo mhac Roibeárd Breathnach i rang 2. I was born and raised in the locality of Gaelscoil an Ghort Álainn and I have a long history with the school, with family attending since 1993. As a parent and local businessman I believe in getting things done in a cost effective and efficient way, with input from parents, staff members and members of the community. I would like to promote this cooperation. I admire the school ethos of ‘ag foghlaim le chéile’ and using this I would like to see the school’s traditions continued into the future. As a father I want to give as much time as I can to my son and his welfare and this is another way of doing so. I feel strongly about the school community pulling together to benefit the students and the future of the school. I understand the importance of this position.

Ronan Leech

I would like to apply for the position of parents rep on the BOM.

Having been a member of Coiste Na Tuismitheoiri since 2006 and have various officers roles during that period including Treasurer (twice) Secretary and currently Vice Chairperson. I feel I am in a unique position to represent the parents association as I have been involved all aspects of the parents association, the work effort applied by all involved in the building of the new school and going forward the management/running of the new school.

Mise le Meas
