Presents and Christmas cards

A thuismitheoirí

Ba mhaith le múinteoirí agus foireann uillig Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn a mbuíochas a ghabháil díobh ar fad as ucht an cabhair agus an tacaíocht a fuaireamar uaibh ó thus na scoil bliana. Tá atmaisféar álainn in ár scoil agus tagann sin ó chomhoibriú idir an scoil, na tuismitheoirí agus gan dabht na páistí.

Go minic i scoileanna bíonn sé de nós ag páistí bronntanaisí beaga a ceannach dá mhúinteoir. Níl aon gá aon bronntanais a fháilt do mhúinteoirí Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn. Táimid den tuairim go bhfuil an iomad brú airgead ar theaghlaigh faoi láthair agus nílimid ag iarraidh cur leis an mbrú sin. Bheadh gach múinteoir lán sásta le cárta Nollag, scríobhte as Gaeilge, ó páistí.

Chomh maith leis sin, tá sé de nós ag páistí anseo sa scoil, cárta Nollaig amháin a scríobh don rang seachas ceann an duine a scríobh.

Nollaig shona agus athbhliain faoi mhaise díobh go léir ó fhoireann scoile Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn.

The teachers and staff of Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn would like to thank you all for the help and support you’ve offered us since the beginning of the year. There is a lovely atmosphere in our new school and that comes from cooperation between the school, the parents and of course the children.

Very often in schools, a tradition exists, where each child buys their teacher a little present coming up to Christmas. There isn’t any need to buy a present for the teachers in Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn. We are of the opinion that families are under enough financial pressure at this time of year and we certainly do not want to add to this pressure. Each teacher would be very happy to receive a Christmas card, written as Gaeilge, from the children they teach.

It is also worth noting that there is also a tradition in this school of children writing one card for all the children in the class and that card being displayed in the class for all to see.

Finally, to all associated with our school, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
