A thuismitheoirí / Chaomhnóirí,
Is le croí trom a chuirim in iúl duit go bhfuair tuismitheoir do dhalta in ár scoil, Mr Patrick Shine bás le déanaí. Tá páiste amháin aige ag freastal ar ár scoil Aisling i Rang Niamh Dan agus tá beirt páiste aige a bhí sa scoil ach atá sa Mheán scoil anois, Liam agus Ciara.
D’fhéadfadh ceisteanna agus mothúcháin ar leith a bheith ag do leanbh ag an am seo. Tá sé tábhachtach eolais fíorasach atá oiriúnach de réir aoise a thabhairt do leanaí. Faoi iamh, tá roinnt eolais gur féidir leat a úsáid le cabhrú le do leanbh.
It is with great sadness and sorrow that we inform you of the untimely death of a parent of a child attending our school. Mr Patrick Shine, father of Aisling in Rang Niamh Dan and of Liam and Ciara who both attended our school but that are now in secondary school, died peacefully after a long, brave battle with illness during the weekend.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
Arising from this, it is possible that your child may have some feelings and questions that s/he may like to discuss with you. It is important to give factual information that is appropriate to their age. Please find enclosed some information which you may find useful.
Children who would like to attend this funeral, are welcome to do so, but can only do so if accompanied by a parent /guardian.
