A chairde,

Tá súil agam go bhfuil gach rud go maith agaibh.

Beidh Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn ag athoscailt dóirse na scoile do gach páiste ar an Luan seo chugainn an 15 Márta 2021 agus is é sábháilteacht ár ndaltaí príomhchuspóir na scoile agus socruithe nua á chur i bhfeidhm againn sa scoil.

Tá cúpla pointí eolais tábhachtacha sa nóta seo agus iarraimid ar gach duine é a léamh go cúramach.

Tá plean covid na scoile nascaithe leis an ríomhphost seo arís
Tá ar gach dalta an foirm Filleadh ar Ionad Oideachais a líonadh roimh teacht ar ais ar scoil. Tá ar thuismitheoirí é seo a líonadh am ar bith a bhfuil a páiste as láthair agus is féidir é seo a dhéanamh trí ríomhphost (Seoladh thíos) nó via an nasc seo a leanas;

Beidh an scoil dúnta ar an gCéadaoin de bharr gur Lá Fhéile Pádraig atá ann.
Is féidir le daltaí éadaí glasa a chaitheamh ar an Máirt an 16 Márta ’21.
Tá ar gach duine fásta masc a chaitheamh an tam ar fad má tá siad i gclós na scoile. Tá rogha ag páiste masc a úsáid dá mba mhian leo.
Iarrtar ar thuismitheoirí a bheith aireach i dtaobh fanacht 2m amach óna chéile i gcónaí.
Bígí cinnte go bhfuil na rialacha seo ar eolas ag aon duine atá ag bailiú do pháiste
Úsáid fón / ríomhphost má tá tú ag iarraidh teagmháil a dhéanamh leis an scoil.
Ní bheidh aon obair bhaile don tréimhse gairid atá romhainn.
Mar a bhí i dtéarma 1 táimid ag iarraidh ar gach páiste mála níocháin a bheith acu agus iad ar scoil.
Bí cinnte go bhfuil éadaí sa bhreis ag do pháiste mar beidh na fuinneoga agus na dóirse ar fad ar oscailt.
Cuir glaoch ar do dhochtúir má tá aon riain de chomharthaí Covid ag do pháiste agus ná seol ar scoil é.
Beidh geataí na scoile ar oscailt ó 8.30rn gach maidin.
Tosnaíonn scoil ag 8.50 agus críochnaíonn sé ag 1.30 ar son na ranganna Naíonáin.
Tosnaíonn scoil ag 8.50 agus críochnaíonn sé ag 2.30 ar son na ranganna seo a leanas; Rang 3, 4, 5 & 6.
Tosnaíonn scoil ag 8.45 agus críochnaíonn sé ag 2.25 ar son Rang a 1 & Rang a 2.
Tá sé tabhachtach na leabhair scoile ar fad atá ag na páistí a thabhairt ar scoil ar an Luan mar go mbeidh siad in úsáid sna ranganna.
Beidh an scoil ag dúnadh arís ar an 26 Márta ar son laethanta saoire na Cásca agus beidh an scoil dúnta ag 12.00 ar an lá sin.

Tabhaire aire duit féin agus dá chéile agus táim ag súil go mór le fáilte ar ais ar scoil a chur roimh gach páistí, maidin Dé Luain seo chugainn.

I hope you are all safe and well at this time.

Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn will reopen for all of our children on Monday March 15^th, in line with current guidance / recommendations and the safety of all our pupils and staff remains our priority as we make the necessary arrangements in our school.

I would like to draw your attention some important points of information and I ask you all to ensure that you have read them and are suitably informed before Monday.

Our school Covid plan has once again been attached to this email
A return to Educational Facility form must be completed for all children (Rang a 3 to Rang a 6) before returning to school on Monday. This form must also be completed anytime a child is returning to school following any absence and can be sent directly to the class teacher via email (addresses below) or by using the following link.

Our school will close on Wednesday March 17^th as it is St. Patrick’s Day
Children can wear green to school on Tuesday 16^th March and uniforms are not compulsory on this day.
We require all adults on school grounds to wear a face covering at all times, no exceptions. If you would feel more comfortable with your child wearing one, please feel free to encourage this but masks are not compulsory for children.
Parents are asked to be mindful of social distancing at all times.
Please ensure anyone collecting your child is aware of these protocols.
Please continue to communicate with the school via phone or email, where possible.
There will be no homework assigned at the start of this term. We will review this as the government’s phased reopening progresses.
Reminder for all children to have their own Wash bag as in term 1.
Please ensure children are wearing extra clothes and a coat as classroom windows will be open.
If your child is showing any symptoms of Covid 19 or if you have any reason to be worried, please arrange to have a test done and do not send you child to school.
Our school gates open at 8.30am every morning.
School starts at 8.50 and finishes at 1.30 for all infant classes.
School starts at 8.50 and finishes at 2.30 for the following classes; Rang 3, 4, 5 & 6.
School starts at 8.45 and finishes at 2.25 for the following classes; Rang 1 & 2.
It’s important that all school books are returned to school on Monday as they will be needed by the children.
Our school will break for the Easter Holidays on Friday the 26 March and we will close at 12.00 on this day.

All of our school rules and routines should be followed by staff and parents to keep everyone safe. While they may cause an inconvenience at times, we appreciate the continued support. We are really looking forward to spending time with the children at school next week; the classrooms just aren’t the same without them!
