Ceolchoirm na scoile  School concert – Beidh ár gceolchoirm scoile do R1 – R.6 ar siúl sa Silversprings Convention Centre oíche amárach, Dé Máirt 21 Feabhra ag 7.00.   Caithfidh na páistí a bheith ann ag 6.45.  Beidh cathaoireacha faoi leith ann dos na ranganna éagsúla agus fanfaidh gach páiste lena rang agus a mhúinteoir ranga go dtí go bhfuil an ceolchoirm thart.

Beidh físeanna don seó ar fáil ar ár suíomh idirlíon www.gortalainn.ie.

Our annual school concert for children in Rang 1 to R6 will take place in the Silversprings Convention Centre on Tuesday 21st Feb 2017 starting at 7.00.  All children must be in the hall dressed in their costumes by 6.45. Give yourself plenty of time to arrive and park at the venue as the concert will be starting at 7pm sharp.

There will be a seating area designated to each class where the children must remain with their class teacher for the duration of the concert.

Videos of the various performances will be uploaded to our website a few days after the show.

An open night for parents of incoming junior infants who will be starting in Sept 2017 in Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Álainn will be held on Tuesday 7-3-17 at 7.30.

Bí cinnte go bhfuil do pháiste cláraithe. Please ensure all siblings are pre enrolled.

Scór na bpáistí: Comhghairdeas le Sona, Shahla agus Áine a bhuaigh craobh scór Seandún na bpáistí oíche Dé hAoine seo caite. Bhí Alice, Freya agus Ella go hiontachsa chomórtas amhránaíochta freisin agus bhí Orlaith, Áine, Moya, Cathal agus Emily ar fheabhas agus iad sa ghrúpa ceoil.

Congratulations to Sona, Shahla and Áine on winning the Scór Seandún final on Friday night and to Alice, Freya and Ella on a stunning performance in the same category. Orlaith, Áine, Moya, Cathal and Emily were also excellent as their band played some beautiful music on the same night……maith sibh!

Congratulations to Mayfield Hurlers on their stunning victory in Croke Park on Saturday and in particular to all the members of the panel that have connections with our school.

Beidh na cluichí Sciath na scoil ag tosnú tar éis an briseadh lár téarma…Bígí ag traenáil!

We expect Sciath na scoil matches to begin shortly after the midterm and we ask all children in Rang 4, 5 & 6 to train regularly during the mid-term break!

Lean rialacha na scoile i gcónaí le bhúr dtoil agus chur scéal chuig an scoil má tá fadhbanna ann. Níl cead ag carranna tiomáint isteach aibhinne na scoile, am ar bith.

We ask all parents to follow the rules as laid out by the school regarding parking at all times and to contact the school with specific details of any problems witnessed / experienced. Cars are not to drive down the avenue into the school yard at any time during school hours or when the yard is being used by children. Please ensure all child minders and taxi drivers are aware of these arrangements.

School will close at 2.30 on Wednesday 22^nd February and will reopen on Monday 27^th February for Midterm break.
