Scoil dúnta / School closure.
Beidh an scoil dúnta ar an Luan seo chugainn de bharr lá pleanála scoile a bheith ann.
Our school will be closed on Monday next to facilitate a school planning day.

Lá spóirt & Siúlóid Maarten. Tá Lá Spóirt do Chách agus Siúlóid Maarten le bheith ar siúl sa scoil ar an Máirt an 11ú Meitheamh. Is féidir le gach páiste teacht ar scoil gléasta san éide spóirt. Is féidir leo bríste gearra na scoile a chaitheamh chomh maith más mian leo. B’fhéidir gur chóir deoch nó dhó breise a chur leis an lón. Má tá an aimsir fliuch ar an Máirt beidh ár lá sport againn ar an gCéadaoin an 12 Meitheamh in ionad.
Our Sport for All Day and ‘Siúlóid Maarten’ is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 11th June, weather permitting, in The Tank Field. All children should be dressed in their school tracksuit but they can wear the navy school shorts if they like. An extra drink or two in the lunch box might be a good idea and sun cream and sun hat may be required. We will postpone our sports day to Wednesday 11th June if the weather is not favourable on Tuesday.
Culaith spóirt na scoile. Cé go raibh tromlach na tuismitheoirí a chaith vóta i bhfabhar ár éide scoile a athrú, bhí alán daoine eile le ceisteanna ábhartha faoi na roghanna a bhí ar fáil. Chun cothorm na féine a thabhairt do gach duine sa scoil tá orainn, mar scoil, a bheith sásta go bhfuil an cinneadh ceart á dhéanamh againn. Tá alán taighde déanta agus cé go bhfuileamar sásta go mbeidh orainn an cluith scoile a athrú ag am éigin, mhol mé (Deaglán) an athrú cluaith spórt a dhéanamh anois i gceann cúpla bliain le deimhin a dhéanamh de go bhfuil an cinneadh ceart déanta. Tá an scoil ró gnóthach na laethanta seo agus ba mhaith liom a bheith sásta nach ndéanfar botún maidir leis na héadaí spórt agus go mbeimís ag iarraidh í a athrú arís i gceann cúpla bliain.
Although the majority of parents that voted, voted in favour of changing our tracksuit a lot of very relevant issues were raised during the process and a lot of people were against making the change. To ensure that all issues were addressed and to ensure that we are going to get the most appropriate tracksuit in terms of quality, fit and durability all of these issues need to be addressed. Although quite a bit of time has already been spent researching various issues (and other tracksuits) I (Deaglán) recommended to our board that we defer the introduction of a new school tracksuit for a few years to ensure that the decision that we reach will be the correct decision. We will continue to use our current tracksuit for the next 2 school years.
